Then, this is the right place for you. Here at ELLC we organise once a week Bilingual English Playgroups where mums and/or dads are welcome to come with their children for an hour and speak English while playing and meeting other families.

Our playgroups are well organised and are run in a very professional way: they are held on a weekly basis, the premises are suitable for children from 2 to 10 years and are organised and equipped to promote play and some specific activities, and also to facilitate interaction between parents and children.

Furthermore, some activities are proposed each time following the same pattern, to motivate children to talk in a spontaneous way but starting from something they are familiar with and the person who runs the playgroups makes sure that all the necessary material and equipment is ready.

This means that our playgroups are certainly not improvised but are designed with care.

Playgroups are certainly a positive experience for children and parents from all points of view:

• a great chance to meet in a relaxed and enjoyable environment where everybody feels at ease; • growing motivation for children to speak the minority language; • precious support for parents, who often feel very isolated in their experience of bilingualism.
