A course may last from 1 to 24 weeks. Each course meets from Monday to Friday in the morning or in the afternoon. The courses, divided into 8 levels, aim to give students an accurate knowledge of written and spoken Italian as well as a good expressive capacity. Any student who is not an "absolute beginner" must take a written and an oral test on the first day of school, in order to be placed in the most appropriate level. Each level has a 4-week program. For this reason the structure (the grammar) as well as the practical side of the language, with particular attention to the correct and complete expression, is thoroughly covered at all levels. An exam will be administered at the end of each 4/week course. At the end of the study period, students will receive a certificate for the levels or courses that they have successfully completed.
